Idol Showcase

Step into the spotlight and experience the dazzling world of idols! Our Idol Showcase brings high-energy performances from local idols to the convention stage. Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering the scene for the first time, you're sure to have a blast!

Please read all of the information below before you sign up!

Animazement's Idol Showcase is a chance for performers and fans alike to celebrate their love of idols! Unlike our Masquerade Contest, the Showcase is not a competition.  The performances are not judged and no prizes are awarded.  It's simply a chance for fans to enjoy the talents of some outstanding idol groups and to give our many local idol talents a chance to show what they can do!

Performance Rules

Before signing up to perform, please read the following rules.

  1. Idol Showcase sign ups will open on February 1st at 6:00pm and will remain open through February 28th at 11:59pm.  The event will take place on Friday evening at [TBD]
  2. All performances must stay within the time limit.  Time limits will be strictly adhered to so as to allow as many performers as possible:
    • Solo Performers - 2 minutes
    • Groups - 4 minutes
  3. Each group may only perform one song. Medleys or mashups of multiple songs are allowed, but must be submitted and performed from one audio file and fit within the time limit.
  4. All performances must be related to Jpop or Kaigai idol culture and fit within your time limit. Your set may include cover dance and vocal performances. You are not required to do one or the other.
  5. Your audio file must be provided to Animazement by May 8th in mp3 format.  If you have not submitted your audio by this date, we may replace you with another performer from our waitlist.
  6. An individual may perform with multiple groups; however we cannot guarantee access to an efficient costume change location, so cosplay changes are not recommended.
  7. Notify us as soon as possible if your plans or availability change after you’ve signed up.

    How to Sign Up

Applications will be selected through a first come first serve basis; however there will be restrictions on duplicate media. To avoid an overwhelming amount of submission for one group, only two groups may perform as the same unit/group. For example, if three groups submit to perform as Wonderland x Showtime, the first two will be accepted and the third will be given the opportunity to adjust plans or forfeit their spot. We will only hold the spot for one week, after which the spot will go to the next group on the waitlist.

If you have questions, please use the form below to contact our Idol Showcase staff.

Sign Ups open on February 1st
